50SR CJ
Kuhter (DNF) – On the heat race the gate
dropped before mom or dad had CJ to the line leading CJ to pull the
last gate pick in the main. This time mom and dad had CJ to the line
in plenty of time, in the main there was a tight battle between 2nd,
3rd and 4th with CJ sitting in 2nd
until the last ¼ lap when the bottom end of his engine sized up and
ended the race with a DNF. 65JR CJ
Kuhter
(6th)
– In the 65JR race this was CJ 1st race on his new 2010
Cobra CX65 and like he said this bike has a lot more power then his
2003 RM65 had. With this being his first race on it he had a good
improvement from the heat to the main going 8/6 and taking 6th
overall.
50 4-8 Caleb Kuhter (6th)
– In the 4-8 class there was a stacked gate with 16 riders overall,
this was Caleb first race back since breaking both collar bones over
the winter at waterman, Caleb had no hesitations and was on a
mission on the track this night Caleb took 6/6 with a 6th
overall.
Motosports Park 2010 Season Opener
04/11/2010 59-65cc
Jr. (7-9 yrs) CJ Kuhter (10th)
0-65cc Beg
(non-points) 7-11 CJ Kuhter (3rd) 0-51cc
Jr. (4-6 yrs) Caleb Kuhter (6th)
0-50cc
Class 4 (4-8 yrs) Caleb Kuhter (3rd)
– Caleb came to this race with a mission and his riding showed how
much heart this little guy has to this sport, even after going down
once in the back corner in the 2nd moto, Caleb got the
bike up and started on his own and regained 3 position he lost due
too the fall, and if he had one more lap he had 2nd in
sight and was gaining ground quickly, but the checker flag came
before he could pass the 2nd place rider. But overall
this was Caleb’s best race this weekend and he had a bunch of fun as
well.

[17 May 09] Latest updates including Caleb’s 1st place finish.
5/10/2009 MotoSports Park Nuclear Series Round 2
50cc 4-8 Inj This was Caleb’s 1st race in which he gave quite a showing finishing this race in 7th and riding this little Yamaha PW50 like I have never seen a kid this age ride, the video of the finish line table top will say it all, and this kid is going to make both mom and dad’s hair definitely turn gray this year, for a little one that just 2 weeks ago said he didn’t want to race and just wanted to go to the line with his big brother CJ, Caleb has now changed his mind and pulled a 360 on mom and dad and all he wants to do every day now is ride the motorcycle and is saying he want to move up to the Cobra P3, but that will be a month or two or three down the road still. Go to the bottom of the page to check out the video!
50cc 4-6 JR CJ took 2nd in a very close race going 1-2 with an overall of 2nd, in the second race was very close all thee way to the finish line with CJ leading the majority of the race up until he ran into a group of lappers with allowed the 2nd place rider Nico to squeeze by to over take 1st place, both CJ and Nico went head to head giving each other a lot of pressure to stay on top of their race, this was a great race by both kids.
5/2/2009 MotoSports Park North Central LL Area Qualifier- Stock 51cc (4-6) AMA Stock 1
CJ took a solid 4th overall for the qualifier and will be heading to Sunset Ridge MX for the North Central's Loretta Lynn Youth Regional June 13 & 14, 2009 and hopefully CJ will take an advancement position with finishing within the top 6. |

[22 Apr 09] Well CJ qualified for regional’s this past weekend at Cross Roads MX - Area Qualifier in Mason, IL with an overall finish of 8th, CJ had a rough start in the 1st moto going down with another rider in the 1st turn putting him in dead last, but CJ was able to come back through the other riders and managed to get back into 7th and as he came around the last corner prior to the checkered flag, CJ went down again allowing 4 riders to get by him. In the 2nd moto was better for CJ with no falls at the start and was able to capture 3rd out of the gate, and had a race going on between 4th and 5th when with a little less then a lap to go CJ’s bike seemed as if it lost power which ended his battle between 4th and 5th place then allowed the 6th and 7th place riders the opportunity to pass him leaving him to take 7th in the 2nd moto. Well CJ had fun and knows there is still a lot of work to be done to make it too Loretta Lynn’s this year and he will be focusing on practicing at Sunset Ridge, which regional for North Central will be held this year, as well as working with his trainer Brad on increasing his speed and corner techniques, CJ will have a solid 2 month of practicing at Sunset Ridge which we hope will give him the edge needed to make it past regional’s this year, time will only tell and he is having so much fun it makes it all worth that much more, CJ wants to give a shut out to his Pit Boss and little brother Caleb for all of the support he give and for always taking CJ bike to the line for him. [15 Apr 09] The 2009 Megacross Shootout Series began this weekend with CJ taking the following finishes: 2nd - 50 Jr 4-6 2nd - 65 Beg The 65 Beg races this week was CJ favorite race as he had an impressive Holeshot from the start and CJ was able to shift the gears more then he has in the past and is really getting to know this bike and how to work the clutch, it is always amazing watching CJ race on the 65 and we cant wait to see how the season progress for him on the 65. This the 50cc Jr 4-6 was a bit harder for CJ as he battled to maintain the lead in the heat race, until CJ and the second place rider came together in mid air causing both of them to go down hard, fortunately neither rider sustained any injuries and both were able to complete the heat race. In the 50cc Jr 4-6 main CJ after going through the crash in the heat race took and comfortable position in 2nd and didn’t make a run or battle for 1st this week, after the race he said he didn’t give it a 100% and was afraid that if he went out hard for 1st he might have gotten into another crash, this is something CJ will continue to work on but for a 7 year old the only thing we want him to do out there is have fun and be safe, he doesn’t have to take 1st every time to take the series championship but he knows he always needs to be in the top two or three riders to have a fighting chance, it is a long season and I am sure we will see many 1st place finish from CJ.

[5 Apr 09] Outdoor Stadium Series at Joliet Motorsports Well CJ started the outdoor stadium series at Joliet Motorsports with an impressive and dominating 1st place finish in the 50 4-6 Jr class, even with very rough track conditions on the big track and then having to move all of the 50 JR and SR racers to the pitbike track due too the amount of mud and the deep ruts that where stopping these riders in their tracks. |

[16 Mar 09] LLQ Area Qualifier at Paradise Moto Park – the track was pretty gnarly with 2 corners having deep 2 foot ruts making it rough on the little 50’s to get through them, CJ said that he loved the track and wanted to go back on Sunday to race again, this little guy should have been the one tired from the racing but he wanted more then ever to get back out there and race more, but the ones too tired to do it again were mom and dad. If CJ continues with the determination and desire we saw from him this past weekend we wont be surprised at all to see number 72 at the gate at Loretta Lynn’s this year.
LLQ Area Qualifier Results - Paradise Moto Park Moto 1 – 10th place, but had the Holeshot out of the gate and finishing the 1st lap had 4th place until he got stuck on the finish line jump, allowing 8 rider to pass him until he could get the bike to the top and get it restarted, but came back from 16th to finish the 1st moto in 10th. Moto 2- 6th very impressive race for CJ only going down once and not giving up a position due to the fall, the second moto was CJ best moto of the day. Overall Finish – CJ finished the day one spot out of a qualifying position, finishing the day with an overall of 9th place.
CJ will have quite a few more qualifiers he we be attending this year and has not yet raced his home track at Byron, which should guarantee him qualifying position from this track.

12/6 /2008 – CJ has had a impressive run these last two weeks finishing 1st in his last 2 50cc jr 4-6 races, CJ has definitely stepped up his riding, and when asked what has gotten into him his reply is that “I wants his name up on the board for taking 1st overall” in the Waterman’s International Winter Championship this year and he is on track to obtain his goal, both mom and dad have told him that to really take 1st it isn’t the points that matter it if you give it all of your heart and 110% effort when you are out there racing. It will be an exciting winter here, as we watch to see how long CJ can keep up this winning streak and if he is to lose how well of a sportsman he will be about not winning, this will be a big test and I am hoping he shows me how good of a sport he truly is.

Caleb made his 1st attempt in the 50CC Injector class, but after the first practice came off the track a bit upset due to the tightness of and indoor track and wanted to practice 1st before trying to race the track again at Waterman, so this winter Caleb will be practicing mostly at Waterman to build up his confidence and might begin racing here towards the middle of the season,
